Discreet DAC

The Discreet DAC is a very simple way of adding good quality D/A conversion to Ti48 or Lightweight transports with a single chip...

The only active electronics is contained within the chip itself, which is an industrial part  with a parallel input.  The number of pins for input is what makes the board large - without them it could be made to be barely bigger than the chip itself!

This is a 16-bit DAC which has a built-in opamp to provide a buffered output.  For this reason, a digital rail and split analogue rails are required for output.
